Plenty of rentals in Guiana offer a pool shared with a residence. A private outdoor hot tub, reserved for the guests of one studio, is another matter. It remains uncommon in the region, and it is the reason most people book this place.
The hot tub is outside, in its own space. No queue, no neighbours, no opening hours. You use it when you feel like using it.
An evening here follows a simple rhythm. The heat softens as the light goes. You step out, get in, and the day loosens its grip — the drive back from Kourou, the meetings, the flight, the beach sand you have not quite shaken off. Around you the tropical night does what it always does: insects, frogs, the odd bird settling. You are not performing a holiday. You are just warm water and darkness and nothing scheduled.
It works equally well in the rainy season, roughly December to June, when a downpour passes overhead and you stay exactly where you are.
Inside the studio
The studio is compact and complete. It is air-conditioned and sleeps up to 2 guests, with 1 bedroom area and 1 shower room. Nothing about it is improvised.
The fitted kitchen means you can shop at the local supermarkets and cook rather than eat out every night — useful on a longer stay, and useful when you land late and want nothing more than something simple. This matters more in French Guiana than it might elsewhere. Long-haul flights into Félix-Éboué land at hours that suit nobody. Connections shift. If you work shifts — hospital, security, technical roles, or anything tied to a launch window — your day does not end when other people’s days end. Self check-in removes the negotiation entirely. Arrive at 2 a.m. if that is when you arrive.

Rémire-Montjoly as a base
Rémire-Montjoly borders Cayenne and is one of the most comfortable places to stay in the area. The Montjoly and Montravel beaches are the obvious draw: long stretches of Atlantic coast, good for a morning walk before the heat builds. In season, sea turtles come ashore to nest along this coastline — a genuinely memorable thing to witness, and one that asks for quiet and distance.
Practically, the commune has the shops, supermarkets and restaurants you need for a real stay rather than a camp-out. Cayenne is quickly reached by car, which puts the city centre, the Place des Palmistes, the covered market and the main services within easy range. Félix-Éboué airport is around 15 minutes away.

Yes. It is outdoors and reserved for the guests of this studio alone. It is not shared with a residence or with other properties, and there are no set hours for using it.
