A lodge booked exclusively for your group
Natura Lodge is rented as a whole. That single fact shapes everything else: you decide the rhythm of the day, who sleeps where, when dinner happens and how late the evening runs.
Sleeping arrangements combine 2 enclosed bedrooms with the open volumes of the lodge, for a total of up to 14 sleeping places. Upstairs, a lounge opens onto the lodge below — a quieter floor for reading, talking or putting younger guests down early. Alongside it, a suspended net is the piece everyone remembers: you lie back in it and look up at the sky, and on a clear night in Roura, far from city lighting, there is a great deal of sky to look at.
The ground floor is the social heart. An open kitchen lets whoever is cooking stay part of the conversation, a bar anchors the aperitif hour, and two long tables in local wood seat the group together rather than splitting it across small ones. Wi-Fi covers the lodge, and there is parking on site. Access is by ordinary road: a standard car gets you to the door.
Green grounds and a natural stream
The 5,000 m² of grounds are as much a part of the stay as the building. A natural stream crosses the land, and its sound carries into the lodge in the quiet hours. There is room to spread out — for children to run, for a game to be set up, for hammocks, for a corner of shade away from everyone else when you want one.
The soundtrack is the forest edge: birds at first light, insects after dusk, rain drumming on the roof during the wet season. It is close enough to Cayenne to remain practical, and far enough to feel genuinely elsewhere. Roura is a starting point as much as a destination. The Comté bridge is nearby, and the Kaw marshes — one of the great wetland areas of French Guiana, best known for its birdlife and its night outings on the water — are within reach for a day trip. Around the commune itself, the natural spaces of Roura offer walking, river landscapes and forest without a long drive.
Cayenne remains about thirty minutes away, so a day in town — the Place des Palmistes, the covered market, Fort Cépérou — stays perfectly feasible from the lodge.
